Miami Heat VS. Dallas Mavericks
The 2011 NBA finals were a match up nobody will ever forget. The Miami Heat led by superstars Lebron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh headed into the finals after knocking out the Chicago Bulls in the playoffs. The Dallas Mavericks also joined it with NBA star Dirk Nowitzki. Miami took the first and third game while Dallas took the second and fourth. Dallas then took the lead in game 5 with and enormous win- 112 to 95. Just as game 6 was about to start,n Lebron James and Dwayne Wade started to cough and make jokes like they were sick in front of the cameras and the press. This may have been because Dirk Nowitzki had a cough and they were making fun of him. James and Wade never actually said that they were making fun of Dirk but it was pretty obvious. Dirk called the joke "childish". Anyways, Dirk got his revenge on James and Wade in game 6 by destroying the Heat once again by 30 points! The series ended with the Mavericks winning 4-2. It was a series that will always be remembered.

Texas Rangers VS. St. Louis Cardinals
The 2011 World Series started off with the Texas Rangers making it into the Series for the first time in the clubs history as well as there first time ever being in the playoffs. The St. Louis Cardinals also made it into the fall classic.The Cardinals started off by taking the first game 3-2 to put them in the lead. In game 2, Texas came back by also winning by one point-2-1. In game three, St. Louis crushed Texas 16-7! This was due to a very important event that happened that game. Cardinals superstar, Albert Pujols hit three home runs that game! The only other players to do that in a world series game were Babe Ruth and Reggie Jackson. People were starting to think that the Cards were gonna take the title, but Texas showed them who was boss and won the next 2 games. Hopes were starting to get low for St. Louis, but miraculously the Cardinals came back to win the next 2 games and take home the World Series title!

Pittsburgh Steelers VS. Green Bay Packers
This year's Super Bowl was like no other. One of the best teams in the NFL, the Pittsburgh Steelers, took on the Green Bay Packers. The game was a sellout. It was too much of a sellout. 1,250 seats weren't ready for the game because the inspectors weren't on time to inspect it. Therefore some people had to watch the game on a TV in the stadium. This caused a lot of anger and lawsuits. The game itself was a great one. Each team kept scoring against each other until the packers finally won 31 to 25.
